Losing It
An intimate play about love, loss and dementia (August 2nd Matinee)

'Losing It' is a play about dementia, love and loss. The play is dramatic, interactive, highly engaging and is only 45 minutes long.
The creative presentation began over a cup of coffee. Sandra and Ceridwyn discovered that they both had lived with family members with dementia. Over those times each kept diaries and wrote poems and stories to help capture the everyday moments of their experiences. So they said, "Let's write a play".
Last year the play was performed to over 400 people in different settings: a large RSA meeting. retirement villages, a church, a golf club, a theatre, and in private sitting rooms.
'Losing It' reveals some difficult aspects of dementia, with authentic voices of real experience. It includes sorrow, laughter, music and hope.
We are very lucky to have this play come to Te Awamutu. It is one show only: a matinee on Sunday August 2nd. Entrance is by gold coin and please call 021 945-953 to book and ensure your seat.
